Quality Indicator Survey (QIS) Trainer - QIS Master Trainer Candidates
Due to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) expansion of the Quality Indicator Survey (QIS) and rapidly increasing demand for QIS-based educational programs for nursing home providers, Nursing Home Quality is seeking highly qualified candidates to serve as Quality Indicator Survey Trainers. Upon completion of training and apprenticeship process, the selected individuals will receive designation as "Master QIS Trainer" and will be qualified to train state survey agency staff on the use of the QIS for annual nursing home inspections. This position will also involve leading educational programs for nursing home providers on the use QIS tools and processes to improve the quality of life and quality of care for their residents. Extensive travel within the United States is required. Relocation is not required for this position.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced clinical degree preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience as long-term care surveyor (preferably within past 5 years)
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); ability to learn new technology and software
Comfortable presenting before both small and large audiences
Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States
Prior experience in a leadership and/or training capacity preferred
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and problem solving skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks
Self-motivated and detail oriented
Positive attitude, flexibility, and commitment to quality

Logistics Coordinator
This position will assume increasing responsibility for coordinating and managing various aspects of a large-scale government training contract. The work required is highly detailed in nature, and involves extensive communication with external parties. Requirements for the position include: a Bachelor's degree (preferably in liberal arts or a related field), as well some experience in coordinating and/or overseeing complex tasks and activities. The person in this role must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, an eye for detail, an ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, and a commitment to completing high quality work within tight time-frames. Flexibility, self motivation and goal oriented traits are necessary with this position.
